Weekly Blend: Getting into the Fall Spirit

Since Fall is now upon us, it’s time for the best things about Fall that doesn’t include the leaves. The food!

Pumpkin Soup

Pumpkin is very popular in the US during Fall, such as pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice drinks at Starbucks, but in Germany, pumpkin soup has seriously exploded into the thing to do during fall. It’s pretty easy to find a recipe online or check out your local grocery store to get some ideas for a nice Fall pumpkin soup.

Danish Tea

Søstrene and Grene tea: Anna & Clara’s Hyldeblomst Te

A black  Danish tea with Elderflower.

This tea is awesome! It is a loss leaf tea that has elderflower blooms in it. I have to say waking up and having this is fun because it has this awesome peachy smell. And if you like tea you can more about this here.

Super Easy Apple Cider Recipe

What you need: Apple juice, cinnamon sticks,  nutmeg

Mix however much you want in a pot on the stove (I always go by smell first) and if you’re really feeling in the fall spirit you can make your cider last by throwing in chopped apples while your cider is cooking. Plus, after your concoction has boiled, take the apples out, put them in a container in the fridge, and now you have a fall snack!

Happy Fall! And don’t forget to follow my adventures on Instagram! Next stop: London.
